Christmas Cheer at CLASP Clare Lunch Club

There are moments at the Clare Lunch Club that quietly remind us why CLASP exists – and our Christmas lunch was one of them. The room filled with familiar Christmas carols – not polished or performed, but warm, genuine, and heartfelt. A few festive headbands and Santa hats added to the cheer, but it was the atmosphere that truly mattered: friendship, kindness, and shared joy.

For many of our guests, the Clare Lunch Club is more than a meal. It’s a place of connection, company and belonging – especially important at Christmas. Seeing volunteers and guests sharing that moment together was fantastic.

Behind the scenes, it takes dedication to make days like this happen. Our volunteers not only prepared and served the Christmas lunch but also brought the festive spirit that turned an ordinary hall into a place of celebration. Their generosity of time, energy, and care is the heartbeat of CLASP.

To everyone who helped organise, cook, serve, sing, transport, and support – thank you. And to our guests, thank you for being part of the CLASP family. Big shout out for Nigel playing the organ.

If you would like to join the CLASP family as a volunteer, a Car Aid driver or as a guest, please get in touch.

From all of us at CLASP, we wish you a warm, peaceful, and joyful Christmas. 🌟

Nick.
